Judith (“Judy”) L. Glick-Smith, Ph.D., is a senior technical communicator with 30+ years in information architecture, knowledge management, and system infrastructure documentation (including API, microservices, and cloud-based systems documentation), as well as standards and procedures development and business and software analysis for strategic decision making. She is a Fellow and past international president of the Society for Technical Communication.
She is the author of Flow-based Leadership: What the Best Firefighters Can Teach You About Leadership and Making Hard Decisions, which was number one on Fire Chief Magazine’s Top 9 Public Safety Leadership Books of 2016.
She is also a contributor and co-editor of three additional leadership books:
She is the President/CEO of MentorFactor, Inc. and the Executive Director of The Center for Flow-based Leadership®. She is a recognized expert on flow-based decision making and flow-based leadership. Her area of expertise is in personal and organizational transformation facilitated by her Flow-based Leadership Model™ of visioning, strategic planning, leadership development, communication, and knowledge management.
Judith's doctoral studies in transformation focused on flow-based critical decision-making processes of firefighters and EMTs in the midst of critical incidents. This became the foundation for her current work facilitating flow-based leadership and decision making in the workplace.
